Lanesboro Fire Station

Our company was appointed main contractor and PSCS on this project.
Works included the construction of a new fire station on a green field site,
including the building itself, drill tower, extensive yards, storage areas, and
all associated site works.
Works which were carried out at Lanesboro included the following :
- Extensive excavation for foundations and water storage tank
- Standard blockwork constuction
- Aluminium windows and doors
- Hollowcore installation to ground and first floor
- Installation of all services and connection to county council mains in
accordance with standards
- Water main installation including bulk water meter particularly important
due ot nature of the building as a fire service
- Located along national primary route N63 - traffic management very
crucial element of the construction, particularly with road crossing for
installation of manholes
- Cladding to roof
- Extensive concrete retaining walls poured in situ, and railings to perimeter
- Tarmac to access road and paths and concrete yards to rear
- Structural steel including the drill tower and stairs-
- Contract carried under public works contract
